AI POLICY
AI POLICY
Last updated: September 1, 2025
Transparency. Accountability.
Integrity in a New Era.
When politicians say “trust me,” people deserve proof.
When insiders hide behind jargon, the public deserves clarity.
That’s why The Truthline Network is laying out exactly how — and why — we use AI.
1. Why This Policy Exists
AI is a powerful tool. Used well, it sharpens speed, clarity, and reach. Used poorly, it erodes trust. At The Truthline Network, trust is the brand. This policy makes clear: AI supports the work, but it does not replace the human judgment, verification, and accountability behind every word, image, or broadcast.
2. How We Use AI
-
Briefings (blog & newsletter): For research outlines, grammar, and summarization — never for unchecked facts.
-
Reports (features, analyses, op-eds, longform): For drafting options, editing, and formatting. All facts and quotes are independently verified.
-
Live (radio & video podcasts): AI may help transcribe or summarize notes. All audio and video are recorded by humans. Any synthetic segment will be clearly labeled.
-
Feed (social media): AI can help with copy polish. Facts are always verified, and AI-generated images or clips are labeled.
3. What We Never Do
-
No AI-generated facts without human verification.
-
No fabricated quotes, numbers, or sources.
-
No unlabeled synthetic media.
-
No sensitive data or personal information fed into AI tools without consent.
4. Disclosure Rules
-
Text: If AI meaningfully shaped a draft or edit, we add a disclosure at the end: “This piece was AI-assisted. All reporting and fact-checking by The Truthline Network.”
-
Images/Video/Audio: If generated by AI, it carries an AI-generated label on the page and inside the file. We use Content Credentials (C2PA) so the provenance is visible anywhere the file travels.
-
Social Media: When AI drafts or creates media, we note it in the post or in alt text (e.g. #AIassisted).
5. Fact-Checking & Corrections
Every AI-assisted product is reviewed by a human editor.
If an error slips through, corrections are timestamped and published openly — the same way major newsrooms operate.
6. Privacy & Security
-
Sensitive or personal data is not entered into AI tools.
-
We use secure enterprise-grade settings where possible.
7. Guardrails for Civic Integrity
The Truthline Network will not use AI to mislead voters, impersonate real people, or create synthetic election content without explicit labeling.
We align with FTC guidance, EU transparency standards, and NIST’s AI Risk Management Framework.
8. Governance
-
We conduct regular audits against best practices, updating this policy as standards evolve.

The Bottom Line
AI doesn’t replace human judgment here. It sharpens it. Every Truthline briefing, report, podcast, and post is written, reviewed, and owned by people — with AI as a tool, not a crutch. Transparency is the promise. Accountability is the standard. Trust is the product.
